New 50 BMG Bans
There are three primary strategies currently underway to eliminate 50 BMG's: 1. State Bans 2. Federal Bans 3. NFA Inclusion. The bill below was held in committee, and plans are to re-introduce it after the 2010 elections. In the meantime, efforts are underway to restrict powder for reloading, and limit reloading components as well as ammo. For example, all M2 and M33 military surplus sales have now been suspended indefinitely (from mil to commercial, not commercial to public). If you can't get the gun, get the ammo! So far, California, New York and New Jersey have versions of the ban, with 11 other States in various stages of working on them. Some folks are jumpin on the new .416 to get ready. Here is an example of BOTH types of planned Federal bans:

Condolences to Ted's family, but honestly, one less uninformed banner in Congress is a good thing.
Thinking of investing in a .50? Check out the Noreen. NOW is a great time to invest, before the ban! (We have no interest or association with Noreen, this is for visitor info only, and they are getting great reviews!).
