When Pelosi talks about "undoing the damage the Republicans have done on guns" she is talking about the Clinton "assault weapon" ban expiration, not renewed by Bush and the Republican Congress. All evidence shows that this ban did NOTHING to prevent gun violence, and in fact the streets are SAFER with the new State concealed carry laws, as demonstrated by study after study. Apparently Wisconsin's Governor doesn't know how to read.
The most significant change when the new bans are introduced will be to make "LE" (Law Enforcement) items illegal for the public to possess. The Democrats will put this in terms of short barrel shotguns, autos, grenade launchers, etc. when in fact actual "LE" items are still NFA/Class III. The real targets are accessories, ARs and AKs, and other items newly available for home protection with the Clinton ban expiration.
