Collectors Targeted!

Ever since LOU DOBBS (McCain needs him for VP!) broke the story of the Wisconsin Veteran who's collection was seized and who is now a convicted Felon due to his Olympic AR-15 malfunction, more and more stories are appearing that prove our thesis of over three years ago: with the Dems on the rise since 06, and Bush a lame duck, ATF is flying high with new bans, seizures and almost unbelievable actions against collectors and gun owners hearkening back to the Bill Clinton era, only much worse. The new ATF head of a regional office in one conservative State just announced at an "industry relations" meeting (which USED to be cooperation between ATF and industry): "I hate men, and I hate guns, and I'm not stopping until the two are separated."
 
One of our members in Massachusetts emailed to say: "It is almost unbelievable here. ATF is systematically shutting down collectors and dealers that don't have 9-5 retail hours. I know of over 40 dealers already that have had their FFL's pulled, and over 20 collectors who have had their collections seized. I intend to get my gunsmith certificate immediately to protect my collection."

We all know the Democrats are flying high and Mr. Obama only was waiting to secure the 2010 elections before acting decisively and quickly-- so far with over 49 executive orders and over 117 new ATF poicies, and Mr. Holder's obvious "border state" clamp downs in the name of Mexican gangs, none of which buy their guys at US gun stores!. In fact, ATF and States already are responding to the new policies on new gun ban initiatives. Just so far, VPC has gone after ammo in 12 states, California has enacted two new “no ship across State lines” laws, and ATF has instituted three brand new draconian web/home/kiosk hours FFL policies, with the only exception being gunsmiths.

 New Internal ATF Policy on Hours and Facilities

 Many of our employees are retired or part time ATF. There is a new internal policy (not to be published publicly) that hearkens back to the Clinton anti-web, anti-home rules. These rules tried to shut down stores with weekend hours, home dealers and collectors via State tax licenses and hours of operation. Most home FFLs and private sellers have already figured the tax angle out.  However, any seller (including stores!) with “variable hours of operation” (meaning no hours for the public, hours by appointment, or weekend only hours) MUST include gunsmithing. If a seller does not have a gunsmith credential, they will be denied, shut down during their next audit, or refused renewal if they are not open during full regular retail hours.

You have made a wise choice in your timing, as other schools charge over $900 for this credential, and we still have hundreds of successful new applicants faxing in their new licenses each month. Unfortunately we also hear many stories of denials from applicants who did not order the info you will have, so please study it carefully before applying.  We're also not sure how long the "home warehouse" loophole will last, but it will at least be grandfathered for those who apply this year.
