Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Mayor Bloomberg, Frank Lautenberg, Hilary, Ted Kennedy (RIP old dude)-- infamous names in the battle to take away your right to bear arms, hunt, and protect your family. Bad enough, and they still control the Senate and ATF! YES, the Democrats have vowed to "reverse the damage" and re-institute far ranging NEW GUN BANS before the 2012 elections. These include banning all semi-auto rifles and shotguns; banning all .410's with barrels less than 20 inches; restoring the ban on all Law Enforcement (LE) items, including collapsible stocks, ARs, AKs, hi cap mags, etc.; banning "sniper" rifle platforms including bolt action rifles in calibers over .30 (Kennedy called these "cop killers" and even includes the venerable old 30-06 deer round)!! INTERNET and GUN SHOW PRIVATE gun sales TOP EVERY LIST that has been compiled!
The new wave of Democrats, plus the old guard of Hilary and Boxer stir up public emotions by telling the public that hunters use "automatic" weapons to hunt deer and birds. By this they don't mean class III machine guns, but 3-shot limited duck shotguns and SEMI auto self-loading rifles and pistols!! Pelosi (good riddance!) was quoted as saying: "What kind of incompetent hunter needs an automatic weapon to bring down a deer?" By this she means a 3-shot semi-auto 30-06 or 3-shot duck shotgun! She's obviously never followed a blood trail for miles with a wounded animal, the time-proven 3-shot semi is humane, effective, and a staple of hunters worldwide. They call semi's "automatic" not just out of ignorance, but to shamelessly deceive the public on the incredibly large list of what they are really trying to ban.
Even if you sympathize with the Bambi logic, what about self defense? Pelosi, Hilary Clinton and Bloomberg (what the hell was he doing going after national guns as a city mayor anyway?) have vowed to "reverse the State's trend to allow personal carry of automatic weapons" (Hilary Clinton quote). There are two lies here: 1. Like the horrible governor of Wisconsin, Jim Doyle, they want to dial the clock back 10 years and take away all the new State carry statutes. 2. If they can't accomplish that quickly, they want to limit, US-wide, the ability to carry "automatic" weapons: meaning semi-auto pistols! Goodbye Glock, Springfield, 1911... any "self feeding" handgun! They sneakily defeat the carry laws by limiting them to revolvers, then limiting the caliber to under .30, meaning an end-run squeeze, since most .25's are semis! Carry a 22 revolver for self defense when the terrorists have AKs? Right!
BEFORE the Dems took over ATF in 08, there were over 120 categories of guns on Lexis, with over 2,200 bills trying to ban them, under US, State and City Congressional review. MANUFACTURERS have already discontinuee many lines of collapsible stocks, hi-cap mags and many semi-autos during 2010 in anticipation of the new bans or actions by an Obama-controlled ATF. Since Obama LOST cap and tax, he's got to PROVE TO THE LEFT that he's still viable with tough ATF crackdowns on gun registration. Between Bush and the Clinton/Brady fiasco last time around, AR's dropped from 13,400 a year to 1,200 a year and jumped from $900 to $3,500 with collapsible stocks and flash suppressors/compensators. Home FFL Dealers dropped from 400,000 to 100,000 during the same period!
