The ENCODED AMMO Scam
You've probably heard by now that California has enacted a 2010 reg requiring that all ammo be encoded. 22 other States now have legislation pending that would require all non-encoded ammo to be destroyed. So far, handloading is an exception in most of these drafts, click HERE to get your reloader certification in advance of any of these insane laws that actually make it.
The problem, as you may know, is that there is only one company making encoded ammo, and the manufacturers have to cooperate to make it work, which none of them will so far. This threatens to shut down the whole industry, as the banners well know, just like idiotic one gun a month laws, which are also a sneaky way to destroy the industry. The morons pushing this at the State level are at "ammunitionaccountability" and have obviously never fired a gun!
In the meantime, write NRA, join NRA, and let your representatives know, especially at the State level in your State (especially Illinois, New York, Maryland, New Jersey and sadly Indiana where "accountablity" is mounting strong campaigns), that THIS IS A MORONIC IDEA THAT WON'T WORK, WILL DESTROY 1.8 MILLION JOBS IN THE FIREARMS INDUSTRY, SHUT DOWN AN AMERICAN INDUSTRY, AND ROB US OF OUR 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS. Write or email Obama on his "feedback" site and remind him that new bans, one gun a month rules, and marked ammo scams will destroy more jobs than he can create in his first term!
CHECK OUT THE LATEST STATE LIST BELOW, THEN CALL, WRITE OR EMAIL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE:
WE ARE NOW SEEING THE FIRST STEPS TOWARD GUN CONTROL BY THE LIBERAL LEFT JUST ELECTED. THE EROSION OF OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS HAS BEGUN:
Bills that are being pushed in 18 states SO FAR require all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer in a data base of all ammunition sales so they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless ammunition is coded.
Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011 (including hand-loaded ammo in four states).
They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2..50 or more!
If they can deprive us of ammo, they will not need to take our guns!
The 18 states where this legislation is currently pending: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
