Tucson Shootings of 2011
The Tucson shootings are a tragedy, and both gun banners and the liberal media are already exploiting that tragedy to call for strict new bans on guns and ammo. Interestingly, many of the worst banners like Carolyn MacCarthy are saying "if we can't go after guns, let's at least go after ammo..." Your certified reloader certification will be more important and valuable than ever with her logic.
This writer used to work for Caremark, trying to find psychotics and schizophrenics on the street to medicate under federal programs. The truth you won't see in the media is: when society became politically correct, as well as broke in the first depression, we eliminated what were then called "insane asylums," "looney bins," "nut houses," etc.-- in other words, hospitals for the psychotic. The result of this move was to put them out on the street, back into the homes of their families, or in jail.
Most of them-- over 85,000 in Pima County alone-- get no treatment and are walking time bombs.
MacCarthy's callous take on Gifford's pro gun stance is: "You take risks going into public service." That woman needs to be put back on her meds-- she will say anything as long as the bottom line fits her warped frame of not defending ourselves and remaining sheep! What does Boxer say about the deranged shooter, when her mantra, like Hitler's, is: "Join the army if you want to carry a gun."
Almost everyone agrees things would be better "if there was a police presence there." What do you think armed, trained citizens are? Obama has spent the country into oblivion and there are no more funds for hiring more guards and police! The answer is clear: if you're going to someplace dangerous, which in this age of collective insanity includes the local mall, you should wear your vest and carry your gun! If someone starts shooting little kids like fish in a barrel, regarless of his gun, ammo, mags, or mental state, JUST KILL HIM. It's what he wants, just give it to him.
Everyone is now trash talking Arizona as "too gun liberal." If we're so liberal, why didn't five crowd members shoot this wacko before he killed anyone? Why don't we train our representatives in basic hand and eye screening ala the Secret Service, so with or without bodyguards, they have the opporunity to stop the threat dead before it escalates?
Does anyone really believe that "gun free zones" around public speakers would have stopped this guy? How IDIOTIC are the people who propose these measures? A "gun free zone" law will only mean the fish are in a bigger barrel-- law abiding citizens won't be able to shoot back, and the nutso gunner couldn't care less about the restriction!
